autometer 15003 gauge pod
has anyone installed the autometer 15003 gauge pod the one that installs rt infront of the cluster...just wanting some pics to see bc i have ordered this and was interested in seeing if anyone else here has installed them

Be careful of the one that sticks over the cluster. I tried one on my 02, it covered most of my fuel and I think water temp gauges. It was intended for the early cluster with the four gauges on one side.
I think 15003 was what I install, I can't recall, because we had two of them at the office, I picked one up, painted and put my gauges in.

well that kinda sucks i already ordered this one not thinking about asking everyone....i was thinking it would be an easy way to get them away from my face....i guess i may have gone wrong huh?

Due to the wife's refusal to let me remove the left grab handle, for a pillar pod, I used one of these to mount my gauges:

Two pieces of velcro hold it in place atop the dash. 35k miles and it's never moved. Gauge lighting never bothers vision while driving at night.

The pillar pod isn't bad at all. Neither picture is from a driving perspective, I wanted to put the pillar in the whole screen when I took this shot.
On the lighting, tap into the dimmer circuit, I can't remember which wire I used, but I picked it up right behind the headlight switch.

Yeah, lay that over your cluster before you take it out of the plastic. I am pretty sure it's going to block your view of the lower two gauges. Maybe you can return it or sell it to someone with the early cluster.

I thought the trans temp was left upper and engine coolant was lower left. It didn't completely cover it, it's been a couple of years since I tried, but I do remember it was more than I was willing to live with. I think it blocked the top 1/4 of the fuel and most of the engine coolant.
