progress pics of flatbed, IT'S ON....

well it's only temp. on, and i have some minor things to do underneath before I take back apart to paint and seal.
but i couldn't help it,
i had to set some of the old junk up on the bed that i plan to strap down and keep there once it's complete. The green thing is a cooler, the brass is a fire extinguisher. I've also have 2 old wooden beer bottle crates i plan to do something with.

I'm starting to think i might stain the oak board before i seal them, not as dark as that wooden toolbox, but a little. any thoughts on that?

I always look forward to your posts. You do amazing work.

The bed is looking really good. Way back when I was going to mount and old cooler like that in my bed and use it a a battery/tool box. Those plans changed but I still like the look of those old coolers.

That is one tough looking truck!

That really is nice

The bed is really taking shape; as Bobby said you do nice work. Hard not to be excited when it looks so dang good.

That is a great looking rig . I think staining the wood is a good idea . Darker wood just seems to go better with these old trucks . If you put on a coat of clear oil and then put on the stain you can achive a more uniform appearance .
