Not that I know of. If you did though it could hurt your mileage and efficiency. Diesels like to be hot. If you cool them down you make it harder for them to burn the fuel. That why the 203 thermostat is a good mod. Gets more heat in the engine.
I have a cooler and fan with manual bypass.
The only time its used is in summer running on the beach
in 4X4 low. Otherwise i have found no need for it.

Since the oil coolers on our truck's keep the engine oil regulated to the same temperature of the coolant you should be just fine unless you reach an overheat condition.
