coil spring disaster

Good thing NTB cant seal new tires right, lol. I stopped on my way to work to put air in my front tire and i about fell over, The top of my coil spring enclosure is ripping apart bteween the shock and the coil spring seat. Anyone know how to replace this and where i can get a new coil spring housing thing?

neither lmc or npd catalogs show one.

best bet is probably ford part.

try ftepartsguy in sponsors column.

try part number 5A306 but that is for 4x2 and the 4x4 is not listed.

they list two for 4x4 one list with manual hubs, they both list less quad shocks.

LH W/ manual hubs shows to be E2TZ5A306H which is obsolete. I ran it on my locator and no one shows to have one. not sure why it makes a difference.

the other part number listed for the left hand side, which in the catalog only states less front quad shocks and nothing about manual hubs E2TZ5A306J shows stock avail everywhere. might just work. where are you located? maybe there is a dealer near you that has the part and you can go look at it. I'll run it on the locater and see if anyone near you has it.

FTE Parts Guy, not trying to step on your toes but Jeff's Bronco Graveyard is another sponsor of this forum and may have the part.

I would just get one from a junkyard. There are millions of these things that go to the crusher. BTW, it's commonly called a coil bucket.

you might be able to just take it to a welder and have him beef it up, might be a lot easier than pulling it out and replacing it
