Steering Column
66' F100, 3 spd
Is there a coupling or spacer that fills the gap between the steering wheel and top of the column? I can't determine what is missing. The gap is about an inch or so.

There should be a spring in there then the nut and it pushes the wheel down. I have a spare if you need it. Here is a picture of the exploded view of the column

No spacer of any kind. If the wheel won't fit properly, it's either the wrong one or the column is out of adjustment.
Same THREE spoke steering wheel: 1960/63 Falcon/Comet / 1961/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1966/73 Bronco / 1967/72 F100/250 / 1969/70 F350.
EDIT: The spring (3520) has nothing to do with steering wheel fitment. It's used in conjunction with the upper bearing (3517).

Thanks for the diagram. How do I tell if I have the right wheel? It is a used replacement (found it on Ebay), and it appears to be exactly like the one I removed. It has the half moon horn ring instead of the horn assembly shown.

My wheel is original, I think 17" Diameter, 3 spokes, and ribs all along the spokes.
