Eaton True trac ?

no, well you could at the same time.
the ring gears mounts to the diff weather it be an eaton true trac or a stocker or other brand.
while you are installing a new diff you might as well put new gear set in if you were planning to change your gear ratio, or if you are changing your R&P you might as well upgrade to a better diff if you have an open diff or a worn out stock limited slip.
I am keeping my stock R&P and just changing out my diff
