ok guys I am lost here I have a 1996 psd with 200,000 miles on it
a couple of days ago i noticed a ton of a grayish smoke on start up it was bad but it went a way after a minute or 2 i did not think anything of it
yesterday i started it up and now i have a bad miss and smoke so bad you can not see my house from the truck 20 ft away you can hear a knocking noise coming the engine and she shot a flame out the exhaust about 4 to 5 feet long
mods it has 190hp injectors less than a month old
superchips
3.5 down pipe
5'' exhaust
k&n could air
good god, 190 hp injectors? what brand? is that supposed to be stage 2's or 3's? does the noise and flames quick after it warms up? sounds liek possibly a sticking injector really dumping fuel. the superchip isnt the right choice for a truck with modified injecotrs either. smoke and crappy idle is normal on a cold engine in cold ambient temps. how is the weather where you are at?
they are stage 2s made by rose wood diesel the superchips is not staying long it smokes even after it warms up i might get a video of it but she leaks oil and i caught my frame on fire so i was putting the flame out with a garden hose

Sorry bro, dint know things were that bad. Be careful.
i'm assuming that basically means he has HPOP issues too... possibly the turbo and HPOP are both leaking heavy amounts of oil into the valley and back behind the engine and they're hitting the exhast and catching fire plus the turbo may be leaking oil internally and causing oil to catch on fire INSIDE the exhaust causing the flame?? the smoke may indicate oil starting to burn then once it warms up enough it catches fire.. just my $.02
what turbo is on the truck? where exactly is the oil coming from? do you still have the ebp valve on the truck? it must be really hot it the oil dripping on the up-pipes caught fire.... you may have other issues. we need more info on your truck. and oil fires and garden hoses are a huge mistake. get a fire extinguisher
so the turbo is fine, its the pedastool that leaks, ok, i was gonna say, dont run the truck if the turbo is leaking oil like that. it is asking for a problem. how does it run with the superchip removed
