Oil Pump Replacement
My Question Is Can The Oil Pump On An 89 F250 W/ 460 Be Replaced Wihout Jacking Up The Engine? I Replaced The Oil Pump On My 79 F250 Without Fully Removing The Pan, I Just Worked Around It. It Was A Bit Of A Pain To Do But Engine Lifts Ain't Free.

If you've got a jack it's doable. I removed/replaced the pan and pump on a 5.0 and a 5.8. Lift engine by using a 2x6 under the harmonic balancer and jack it up. Obviously you need to loosen mounts and such. You should be able to replace the oil pump once you get a little clearance between the block and pan.
