Installing 2008 tow mirrors
I installed these today, it's very simple. The mirrors need a little bit of trimming, but other than that it was easy. Remove four nuts with a deep socket, reinstall, done.

Can you show us what had to be cut off? Also, you have some pics of the final product?

Sorry no photos, they'er on the truck already
. It's literally a nub that sticks out. You can clip, sand, or break off the little nub.

Just finished the 99 to 08 towing mirror upgrade... SIMPLE and love them!!!! Manual to Manual so it only took about 20 minutes total.

There is no need to remove the little nub on the '08 mirrors, I just drilled the the hole in the correct spot on the door when I did mine and used the nub as intended.
