Wow, two years between engine oil changes??? not a very big island eh?

Actually, it's been quite a bit longer.....look for 'Basic Oil Change Question' thread recently. The truck was due a change before I moved, then it sat a year and then I shipped it down and couldn't find the oil I like to use. So until Last week, she probably had 3 year old oil coarsing thru her veins......se's very happy with me now, apart from this light thing yesterday. Ran it twice today to drop and pickup my daughter at pre-school, no light and no probs with the speedometer.

Your truck is a good candidate for Sythn oil so you don't have to hassle with frequent changes. LOL
Back to the original topic. It still should have the code stored in the PCM if you can find the means to retrieve it.

I thought the VSS was the sensor on the output shaft?
