Yes, I do plan to straighten out the bodywork, finish the patch panel the previous owner installed, and do a repaint. I'm undecided on what direction I want to go on making room for more tire. I've still got the TTB axle under the front, and a 60 is a bit out of my range right now, so I guess I've got some decisions to make.
I do have sound; but it's in a vid. First is a short take off, 2nd is pretty much coasting downhill.
I'm with Rockin, minus the lift. Just put some 32x12.50's on that bad boy! Do you have a sound clip?
Speaking of sound clips, Rockin, did you ever get a sound clip for me LIKE YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO?
not yet bill having problems with the truck right now im blowing blue/black smoke since i took the cats offit only does it when i start it and rev it right away and thats it

Your truck sounds awesome, I love it.

You dirty dog!! Why did you cut off the cats without taking a sound clip first??? I wanted to hear what a 300 sounds like with cats and -no- muffler. I might be moving somewhere where I have to have cats and I planned on running just no muffler dumped!
Well either way I'm still looking forward to the sound clips. I hope nothing is seriously wrong with your pickup!!!

I had a carb'd. 300 in my old bronco. The exhaust was rotted out, and fixed it with new pipe. No cats or muffler, it was loud as all hell, but did not sound very good. Dont get me wrong i love loud trucks, I just cut the mufflers off my black one. But the 300 needs to have something on it. I put a flowmaster with no cat on it, it sounded pretty good after that.

If you click on my link in my sig you'll see that's how I have my 300 set up (flowmaster and minus a cat). You're missing my point though, bud. A 300 sounds much different without cats. I wanted to know what it sounds like WITH cats and NO muffler, dumped.
Seems like everyone is a little testy this month... This is like the 3 time someone has said..

As for your question.... I don't have any sound clips for you with just the muffler missing from a 300 I-6. When I had muffler work done to my ol' 85 F150 it sounds good... like an angry V8. I didn't drive around with it because I was doing a FM and just wanted to hear it.

I wasn't being snippy. I was being very litteral. It's very hard to read emotion in text. I wasn't snapping at anyone.
Sorry, have to add a new pic, because I changed something. I know, they're mall terrains, but they were included with the rims, and the price was right.
