squeaky shock

anyway to stop a shock from squeaking?? my pass side front shock is squeaking evrytime i go over a bump, i know the proper way to fix would be replace it but it doesnt feel bad really, just squeaks. any good oils out there that should stop it for a lil while?? if i could manage to get the oil on the shaft of the shock, thinking wd40 with the straw hooked up?

Are you sure it's the shock ? Could also be worn out bushings.

ive went over the whole front susp and even replaced the from sway bar bushings, plus sprayed evrything down with white lit grease. still squeaks?? only thing left really is the shocks, all other bushings look good.

How are your ball joints? The lowers can cause a god-awful sqeeking noise.

they seem ok. ive lifted the front end off the ground and theres no side to side or up and down movement in the wheel. however i did notice sitting in the driveway if i turn the wheel side to side it squeaks then also? probably is the ball joint, ill see if i can try and get some grease through the boot to quiet it up for a lil bit

yep its the lower balljoint, poked a hole in the boot and sprayed some white lit grease and squeaking stopped
