A/C Pressure

Anyone know how much pressure an automotive air conditioning system works at?

There are a lot of variables, but generally 150-200psi on the high side and 25-30psi on the low side. When off, the pressure is roughly the same as the ambient temp.

Why do you ask?

Thats complicated, for one I thought I would like come up with another way to run my A/C besides off the belt, so I can run it without the engine running.

Now that I put in a little thought I guess I could have figured that out with the vapour pressure.

Thanks for the info.

That takes big power and getting it to the compressor will be a challenge. Let us know how it works out.
