Low idle

04 FX4 5.4 Idles too low.Any body know how to set up idle, even sometimes dies at stop.

What is too low? Mine idles at about 700. But if its dieing on you then the PCM needs to be reset. You can not manually adjust your idle speed. Have you tried disconnecting your battery for about 30 mniutes? If not disconnect battery, turn on headlights for 10 minutes, leave battery alone for 30 minutes. After you reconnect battery your PCM should be back to stock level. It will take a few days for your PCM to relearn your driving habits but it should work

Idles about 300. Just replaced battery, went completly dead suddenly. Maybe it will get better when it relearns. but it always has been too low. Just worse since battery change.

vac hose

Just got my F150 S Crew Lariat with 5.4l out of shop for same problem.
they replaced throttle position sensor, o2 sensor, all the common stuff, with no results. then they repaired a vac hose off the back of the intake and voilla. works good now.
