A new newbe - OK
Howdy fellas! Just found your site & decided to register.
I have my grandpas truck he bought new back in 1971. It was his daily from 71 to 94 when he decided it was time for something new, so he decided to give me the 71. (after alot of nagging by my mom).
I was in the 6th grade at the time. The truck had a frame off in 94 & its still in pretty good shape. I have alot of great memories working on my truck with my friends & family.
Still sporting the bone stock 302 2V & 3 speed. The only modifications to the motor is the exhaust, which is now sporting dual magnflows. Even the points & condenser are from 1994!!
Its been repainted twice, once when we restored it & once after I thought it was the batmobile & took out about 50 foot of barbed wire fence.
I drove it to highschool for 3 years, up untill the time I crashed it. After that, we got it fixed & its been my "show truck" ever since.

We call it papabug because my grandpa had the nickname "bug" all his life. He was our pa-pa bug. Hence the user ID & the trucks name.
