new here - MN

i am new to ford trucks. i just got am 86 f150 std cab 4x4 300i6 4sp. it runs rich. im thinking it needs the carb rebuilt. do all 86's have the feed back carb on them. the reason i ask is there is no wires going to the carb. any info would be great.
