Exclamation Domelight Supervision

Hey guys, I need some help...I'm putting a temporary keyless entry/alarm in my truck that I got free from a friend. Its a Micro DLR4HD. It told me to connect the domelight wire to a relay to make it work correctly. I've never really had to use these before so i'm trying to figure it out. There is a diagram here http://www.microalarm.com/pdf/dlr4hd_inst.pdf (pdf) that shows how to install the relay. The part that says pin 87 (+) or (-) depending on dome light circuit type confuses me cause I dont know what wire i'm supposed to connect there. I've tried everything and I think i'm just thinking about it too hard. So please,
-Chris

P.S. I'm using a 4 pin SPST relay. Seemed like it would be the appropriate one. TIA!

ok so you have four connections, 85, 86, 87 and 30. Your dome light is (neg) trigger right and the alarm is (neg) trigger?

Going off of what I assume, 85 to the alarm trigger, 86 to fused power. 30 to the dome light and 87 to ground. 30 is what your controlling and 87 is the polarity of what your controlling. If the dome light wire needs voltage, then change 87 to power.
