confused about towing package
I've been looking at all the technical data i can find just so i can make sense of things in general.
according to this:
http://hillerford.com/resource_libra...expedition.pdf
if your vehicle did not have the HD towing package, then you do not get the auxiliary transmission cooler.
but, mine has one.
The link above shows that the HD towing package should be a 14 row cooler.
so, aside from the wires and relays in the fuse box, what all did the HD towing package come with, that the standard towing prep pack did not?
best i can tell:
Limited Slip
7 pin connector in the rear (and the associated wiring)
auxiliary transmission cooler
The radiator appears to be the same for either.
So, if i'm reading between the lines correctly, since mine has the auxiliary transmission cooler, and i verify that it is the 14 row cooler, then there is no real reason that i should be limited to 6,000 lbs towing, but rather the 8600lbs rating should apply (assuming i hook up the trailer brakes -- and i will)
I've been known to use vehicles to their capacity, so i'm just trying to see how worried i should be about hauling a 7500lbs (loaded) car trailer with my expedition.
specifically, i'm referring to the 2006, but i think the 2003-06's were all the same, yes?
thanks!

I did get a chance to look at my transmission cooler and it appeared to have 8 rows, not the 14 rows that the HD package got.
Was just confused because some sources were saying that the non HD towing did not get a cooler at all, but it looks like they still got an air-oil cooler, just a smaller one.
thanks!
