If 315's fit with no lift I think the only problem with 325's after a 2.5" lift would be lock to lock, spacers would fix that but I'v never looked into them, not sure if they are a good idea or not...
Yeah I would think with the 2.5 lift they would work fine you would have to use a lift kit not a leveling kit or get F350 blocks for the back and a 2.5 leveling kit as the F250's don't sit as high in the back. I don't like spacers seen to many wheels come off with them back when I was doing low riders.
Not from me as I would not use them back then either.
I called Sanderson welding and talked to Mr Sanderson (forget his first name). He recomended the mini spring pack, its what he runs on his rig. I told him NOT to weld them and thats what I got; tow unwelded spring packs, longer U-bolts and two sets of retaining pins. Installation wasn't easy, but I've got probibly 3k on them without any issues. The retaining (center) pin maintains the pack and the ubolts keeps everything stright. No trackbar adjustment needed. Love the new stance.
So he built a custom mini spring pack for you? because Iv only ever seen them welded and that doesn't look like a good idea to me. How much did they cost from him?
the stock shackles are 5" center to center of the bolts but they are not straight up and down as you can see from Mike's, Big Poppa Pump's, picture. Should the new shackles be 6.5" to raise the truck 2" to 2.5"? I think so...
Joe, I think it was $115 to the door, list for $149. Wasn't really a custom build, he just didn't weld them. Everything was as asvertised.
One hint: I cut about 3/4 inch off one side of each u-bolt (after running two nuts on the thread to assist in recutting any burrs). This helps getting the u-bolts back through the lower base plate. Can't ever seem to get them to spring together enough for both legs of the u-bolt to go through at the same time. Just a thought.
OK thanks, that's def something I will look into. Right now I have the material to build the shackles and haven't paid anything yet so I will continue with this, for now.
I've got the 2.5" shackle from Sanderson Welding, and an add-a-leaf kit on mine. I started out with only the add-a-leaf, and the 35s rubbed really bad. I added the shackle and here is what it looks like now. No rubbing at all, even with Nitto Mud Grapplers
Well heres how mine sits with the add-a-leaf leveling kit, The leaf extends almost the whole length of the main leaf. 315-75-16s. They rub pretty bad. Im thinking about making some longer shackles as well to cure this.
