those are blocks for the 05 and up .. in 05 they went to a coil ..
if you're talking about putting a block in your 01 . .that's a leaf suspension up front .. DO NOT DO THAT !! .. turning, multiple angle articulation, a block can come out and cause serious problems, if not possibly kill you..
NO BLOCKS UP FRONT - and NEVER stack blocks in the rear either

you can do a "mini" leaf pack add in
What TNT said. I can't add anything more. Well put brother!!!!
The cheapest way to level the 99-04s is to just add a leaf, or do drop shackles. My truck has an extra leaf spring for a leveling kit. My previous truck had drop shackles for a leveling kit, both seemed ok, I kinda prefer extra leafs though.
And like TNT said, never add blocks to the front of a leaf sprung truck.
A very cost affective way to lift your front end. 2.in shackle given to me from a FTE member on here. Very easy to install and truck looks great, and its safe..
Build the shackles like the ones on the Ebay link that Glenn posted. That would be a good project. But in the long run it might be easier and maybe even less expensive just to buy them.
Wow thanks for all the input, I knew the ebay link was for '05 and up, I wanted to know why I couldnt do that on my '01, and now I do!
I will start looking into building the shackles, I would buy them, but I want to build stuff and this cool equipment I have available. I also have my professors to help me make sure it is safe once it is done.

Why do you prefer the extra leafs? Did it make the truck ride better than the shackles?
I just did the shackle lift a few weeks ago and then put 4 inch blocks in the rear. I took out the factory 2 and 1/2 inchers. It keeps a little bit of the rake to the front so when you load the bed it still looks level. I like the look of the truck with the lift. It's not ridiculous and the ride quality hasn't changed. I didn't have to change shocks or play with the pinion angle. None of that.
