We do have a BONE to pick because we still don't have a site for the G2G. The MEAT of the problem is we all like to eat well. We know you aren't CHICKEN about taking this on.
ok... well bad news.. Bobby D's is out for that Sunday.
Bobby said he would be glad to accomodate us on nearly any other Sunday (or so he said) but that Sunday is out. : (
So.......
Anyone else have any idears?
Do you wish to try the other BBQ Joint? I don't have any knowledge of it right now.
Not as centrally located but I could, and would be glad to call the Brookville Motel, in Abiline, I know they have back rooms that would work for our party, but they may already be booked, so I need an answer from you soon.
well, I called BM, and if we go that way, we need a definite head count.
Here's the dealeo...
The smallest room they have is 30 people, and we would get the room for only two hours.
to get a private room, we would either have to fill it with 25 guests, or, pay for 25 guest's meals, and they would make the amount of food for 25 guests, and box up and split up the rest for us.
Their last seating is at 2:00pm for lunch and begin again at 5:00pm, which unfortunatley means we would have to move the party elsewhere if we want it to last longer than two hours.
I called MM in Emporia, they are going to call me back with more info. They don't do those kind of reservations persay.. but the manager will call me back.
I don't know if I can afford to pay to set up the Alma Restarant/grocery location by myself, but will call if you guys think it is something you want to try.
Holy crap Curtis, looks like you been busy lol. To be honest the Brookville would be nice but the 2 hour thing bugs me, we always like to sit and chat and I would hate to have everyone hustle and bustle to eat and head home.
I like the idea of Montana Mike's, Emporia really seemed to work out well for everyoneso if we can I say we try to stay in that area so folks can kinda plan for the travel.
You don't need to pay for ANYTHING out of pocket, we shouldn't need anything but if by chance we do you need to let me know and we can work it out!! All this hard work your putting into this you don't need to pay for it too :-)
Jeff from Montana Mikes called and said we can book it if we want, but we will need to do it soon, He said they remodeled in there, and took out a wall, to open it up some, toward the BAR, Jeff was real nice, and said that if we started our party at around 2:00, then we could hang around for a while, there was some concern as 6:00 come around, and it would get busy again, but acted as though it wasn't too big of deal.
