I don't think Emporia has a Montana Mikes. but they have an Applebees, Carlos0Kellys, sirloin stockade, and two bbq joints. (that I know of off the top of my head)
I enjoyed the BBQ place and like the hole in the wall kinda joints. I can always eat at a Carlos, Applebee's, Sirloin, etc. but will go where ever the "group" decides. I about typed troup, but that must have been a throw back to Jack's previous posts about dresses and such.
almost Naked wet showered Jack in a dress with pistolas.... And talking about getting belly's rubbed... What an image.... I'll see if the doc has some barf meds around here somewhere.
We've had g2g's at MMikes in Emporia.
I really liked the BBQ place, it would get my vote.
Polls aren't too bad. I can do one if'n y'all tell me what ya want in it.
Most times I open another window with Kansas Chapter in it. Then in the first window click new post. Then put in the subject. Then type out a some info in the body. Then ya have ta scroll down past the first submit thread clicky box and ya find a whole bunch of neat stuff. How ta manage attachments, and post a poll among them. Ya can change the number of questions right off if'n ya want but no worries ya kin do that later if'n ya change yer mind. Just check the box to submit a poll with the new post and then click submit the thread. Now comes the tricky part. The thread posts so thats why if'n yer on when someone is submit'n a poll ya open it and the post is there but the poll is not. Thats cause the person is still over mak'n out the poll. So now ya kin fill out the choices and ya have to put in a question at the top. At the bottom ya have a bunch of stuff ya kin do. You can adjust the number of choices up to 10, you can set the number of days ya want the poll to run, you can allow multiple votes, and you can make it so it displays the user name of the voter.
As far as location goes it don't make much difference to me. Mostly depends on how my leg is doin that day if'n I'll make it or not. If we have ta pay in advance I'll go ahead with that but not sure I'm gonna eat even if'n I make it.
I think Chad has been deprived o somethin fer too long. Don't know where he got the almost nekid HappyJack part of all that. You all need to watch him when he's around. Everyone know'd ya take a bath in yer long handles and hat. With a glass o sipp'n whiskey and a ceeegar. And ya don't wear yer pistols (go heeled) ina the bath tub.
That be'n said n all, don't rightly make a difference ta me where it's at or what they put n the feed bag.
Skip the poll. BBQ is good. Call them when you get a chance. I think everyone has put in their 2 cents already. Logically Emporia is the best spot for everyone.
When you call them, Ask if they'll do a group discount. Let them know what's going on. After you confirm it with them, start a new thread to announce it and to see who is coming. If they ask how many is coming I'd tell them 20 or so. Seems to be about what we've had in the past. In a week we should know about how many and you can call them back to confirm it if they need to know the how many. Get-R-Done!!!
