I might have to look into this a little more...I see they have a rubberized coating on the top instead of the slick old surface! FINALLY! Wonder how much they would be from the stealership?! haha

I just installed an '08 console in my truck today . It was straight forward but I had to remove the armrests. I used a t55 torks socket but it was loose. It did not strip anything but, but should be about a t60. I have never heard of one though.
The one thing I like about the cup holders is you can put a double big gulp cup in one side and a roll of butt floss fits in the other side. The color almost matches but the black top looks great with the black parts on the dash.
It took about 1.5 hours to install while I was at work this morning (ssssh)
I didn't get the best deal on e-bay but an OK buy it now. $99 + 55 for del.

If it just barely rubs when in gear, surely there is a way to move it back just a little bit, slot the brackets maybe? I don't know what they look like so I don't know if it could be done or not.

I like the looks or the console, but i've got the captain's chairs and I think I read somewhere that the holes for the armrests would show, so it's a no go for me as well.

I almost did the same...but no funds to get one. Spent it all buying all the ammo wally world had it seems! Looking forward to pictures!

Yeah I really needed to put that money elsewhere, but the cloth on the jumpseat in my truck is looking very bad...looks like the PO had a dog that rode in the middle constantly. So i figured what the hell, it was a pretty good deal and I needed it so why not.
