08 Console
Has anyone put or seen some one put a 08 console in an older truck with a manual? I've been looking for one and I rode in a buddies 08 this weekend and it looked like the center console extends forward further then my 40/20/40 console does.

yeah, someone on here did. i am still debating if i want to ditch the center seat for one of these or not.

We have used our center seat twice in the three years of owning the truck and I really like the looks of the 08 console. I have an auto plus ESOF 4x4 so no shifter issues for me.

i've done some searching and found one thread where some one mentioned "slight rubbing" when going into 1st and 3rd gear

I asked "the boss" too.... wait, I need to stop talking to myself!! LOL I roadtrip with the dogs and the front seat is my bed at times, so no console for me, though they do look nice

well not sure which part is rubbing .. I'm guessing the top part of the cup holders .. but the bottom portion that protrudes CAN be removed.
now if you want to actually move it back, some fabrication would be needed but it could be done ..

the more i look at those consoles, the more I want one...if I could find one for a good price I would definitely get one. I have ESOF, and an auto tranny so nothing would be rubbing. Does anyone know where I can get one pretty cheap?

they can be had on fleabay for ~$125 shipped. i am still debating on this, but I think i would just upgrade all seats.
