He fired 30 rifle rounds through a closed door, worse, he was a 22 year old convicted felon and was not even suppose to own a gun. Reason, supposedly, was he was thinking he was going to be robbed.
In my earlier thread about when to get an automatic death sentence for felon gun use, this would certainly be it. Let the father of the victims stone or shoot (give him 30 rounds of .22) the felon to death, his choice.
