hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to decode
this vin #/ door tag

I was also I was wondering if there was ever a pickup "f100 4X4"
with an open knuckle front end and a married transfer case. the front end looks to be the same as one I took out of a 78 f100 4X4. any info would be appreciated. By the way this thread is all about the same pickup which is a red F 100 short box 4X4 with an open knuckle front axle and a married transfer case. both of which seem to me like the have no place in a pickup of this vintage. Any ideas?

Many years ago his wife figured out that he was never going to become a lover, so she took him in and the dr. reprogrammed him to produce that kind of info. She now has her sisters grandchildren and we have...............
Bill, the decoder mentioned above doesn't list F350's. Can you decode this one for me? For some reason I keep going back to look at it ......... it's a really decent flat bed dump truck for cheap!

5.87-1 rear axle ratio! Ach du Lieber!
Thanks Bill! I guess with 114 horsepower it needs that 5.87:1 ! For some reason I just like this old truck, not that it would remain powered as from the factory.
The 91 F250 351 EFI ZF parts truck I recently sold would have been a fine donor for this one.

I know this is heresy typing this on FTE, but one doesn't see too many "Advanced Design" 5 window cabs..like I see in the left background.
There's prolly a ton of Chebbie or GMC nuts looking for those 1948/55 cabs, as they were uncommon, even when new.
I know one local Chebbie nut that paid 2 grand for a POS truck just to get that cab.
If that truck has a radio and/or a heater, all the better. The radio alone will sell for $500.00 EZ.
I saw another rarity last May, a 1965 F600 Custom Cab dump truck.
On Route 74 south of Wesser...in Nawth Carolina.
What was I doin' there?
On the way to Chattanooga after driving a bit of the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Cherokee.
Final destination: Knoxville TN to attend the Supernats
You'd be surprised how close this stuff is to Hwy 74 around Shelby. He has quite a few old "goodies" but has been in the "junkyard" business for 50+ years. He's also a bowtie boy so his Chebbie collection is extensive. This F350 actually belongs to a friend of his and is just parked amongst the rusting GM's!
Two up front and a tanker in the background..........
South of Wessar ..... what?
........... and you liked it here too didn't ya, Boy?
Guess I'll get blasted off of here now! My apologies, DIRTYSTEVEN, for the
