2005 E350 Blower not working
We're really happy with this van. The mpg has been beyond our expectations and it's great for road trips. But on our last trip the blower fan quit. At the beginning of the trip my wife asked if I smelled something burning. It wasn't strong nor prolonged, so we didn't think anything about it. Then later when we needed the air circulating the fan didn't work. Not sure it was related. Along the way I banged on what I thought might be the cover of the blower housing under the passenger side dash. after a whack or two the blower started working again. Again, not sure if it was related. But the next day nothing. It's been that way ever since and with things cooling down here in northern MN, we need to get this taken care of one way or another.
Here's what I've done:
- Checked the 50a fuse under the hood. Not blown. Tested the fuse also even though it looked fine. It was good.
- Check to make sure there was power to the block contacts for the fuse. There was.
- Checked the relay under the hood. Swapped it out with one of the other same relays. No change.
- Moved the switch position from low to high with radio on. Could hear a click through the speakers at each position.
Thanks!
