I don't know what the hell all that was about.........but okay. Dodge/Cummins, you are perfectly safe here. And you input and quest for knowledge COUNTS. I read the post twice and didn't see anything really out of line from you or Norton. I think that you guys will benifit greatly from each other, both being new to the Powerstroke world.

There is "Hard Core" guys on both sides of the fence. I see it all the time on the Cummins forums, and here. But most of the guys that "lash" out at Ford guys on Cummins sites, or vice versa aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer anyway. So their input is basicly limited to "My truck is fast." And when it's not, usually they are more pronounced azzbags. When you venture into the unknow like other forums, you should mind your P's and Q's until you can effectivly answer questions, or can provide an answer about things out of their scope of vision i.e. other truck makes.

While I will say, I see more people being "un professional" on the other sites, you can generally find the real McCoy if you are patient. We all love our trucks no matter what the make. And I guarentee everyone respects hard work on whatever truck we drive. And truthfully, the only way to keep the "Enemy" at bay, is knowlege.

In the end, I don't remember what point I was trying to make. LOL I do know the original poster outran a Dodge. Good job man. I've outran a few myself, and it always feels good. But I've also had my azz handed to me by a few.

Can't argue with that. There's always somebody bigger, there's always somebody faster.
Besides I care more about a decent amount of power and the fuel mileage and longevity that comes with it.
That's why most of my trucks are close to stock.
I do enjoy the high-power trucks and the ways they got there though. That way I can learn from their mistakes and expendetures of money and it costs me a magazine subscription or an event ticket. Then I can drive one of my trucks home in ONE PIECE!
I guess as a compliment to the ones I do correspond with (kind of how you put it) if I think they are just simply blow-hards that don't actually have a clue I simply ignore their comments. I only respond to people who I think can be realistic and reasonable.
When someone says "my Powerstroke will kick your Cummins @$$" the best I could say is YEP! So why respond? My Cummins is a stock first generation making 160 HP with a 21CM turbo housing and no wastegate, it's not too hard to beat. Give me a pile of money though and the race is on!
