And that would be just my luck, wouldn't it!! Besides, you'd probably make me take my truck, and drive all the way, too.............
Hey, great idea Pat! And since your coming that way anyway, I'll have you load up Mom's new 'stang and drop it in Colorado on your way through... oh, and my bro-in-law has a nice fifth wheel that you can pick up after dropping the car off... you'll need a place to sleep when you get there until you get that room finished.
I'll be happy to kick back in a lawn chair with a brew and supervise, too.

I'm glad Jake volunteered you for this!
Okay, I'll be right there....NOT!! Although I wouldn't mind having a fifth wheel set up, since you'll be paying for that!!
All this talk about buying old cars and trucks is killing me!
So, drum roll please........
I have sealed a deal on a 79 F150 4x4. Was hoping to have it in time to bring to the meet on the 23rd, but I'm waiting for the rear bumper and a new set of wheels to arrive. It will be ready for me around the 26th, but I'll be out of town and actually won't pick it up until I get back on Dec 3. If I don't die of anticipation before then!
It just finished a frame off restoration, back to near-original... In keeping with that, the guy put a brand new 400 back in it, with an Edlebrock intake and 4bbl... I probably would have opted for a 390, but figure I can swap that out a couple years from now.
But, just having a 'new again' 79 F150 will keep me very happy for years to come. I've been waiting for years for something like this and was finally in the position to make it happen.
