All this talk about buying old cars and trucks is killing me!
So, drum roll please........
I have sealed a deal on a 79 F150 4x4. Was hoping to have it in time to bring to the meet on the 23rd, but I'm waiting for the rear bumper and a new set of wheels to arrive. It will be ready for me around the 26th, but I'll be out of town and actually won't pick it up until I get back on Dec 3. If I don't die of anticipation before then!
It just finished a frame off restoration, back to near-original... In keeping with that, the guy put a brand new 400 back in it, with an Edlebrock intake and 4bbl... I probably would have opted for a 390, but figure I can swap that out a couple years from now.
But, just having a 'new again' 79 F150 will keep me very happy for years to come. I've been waiting for years for something like this and was finally in the position to make it happen.
Hey Pat! Nice truck! Looks so clean and shinny!!! Mine is a disaster!! It is covered in pine needles and leaves, has a bed full of broken tree limbs and glass, still has broken window and we recently added mud covered tires!!!lolol My favorite part is the muddy tires, I like to play in the mud with my trucks!!
