I have a new German shepherd puppy coming tomorrow and I have a dilemma... I have always had the registered and every day names of my GSD's having something to do with cars/trucks, for example my 6 year old GSD is Feldberg's Fast and Furious, aka Shelby... I would like to continue on with that theme in naming the new puppy so I am asking for ideas for names that begin with the letter "g" that have something to do with Ford trucks and indicates speed, strength and agility. I know it's a tall order but I figure if anyone can help me out it is the people on this forum!
Well, there's G#% D#$%^# F$^*#$ C0%$!*& ......but that's usually only uttered when I'm working on the truck.
Hmmmmm....
Greasemonkey
Gearjammer
Gearbox
Gascan
Gascap
Gadget....not ford specific, but applicable.
Guage
Galaxy......Specifically Ford oriented!
GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating....strangely, when pronounced, could be a dog!)
Glass
Greenhouse...the upper roof structure and glass surface above the vehicle's beltline.
GAW (Gross Axle Weight)
Gilligan (it's a stretch, but I'm willing to bet the Minnow had a Mercury marine engine in it)
Galvanized
Grommet
Grille
Gerald...(President Ford's first name.....hey, a Ford is a Ford, dang it!)
Gasket
Guilloche (a decorative band, sometimes used as a security device on titles of ownership...like on a Ford)
Gismo......(what, like none of you have ever forgotten a part name?)
Glovebox....(oddly, for a dog, it's partially fitting...I've known a few that have eaten peoples gloves)
Ok, that's as creative as I can be this morning with such tight constraints...Ford related G names are hard!
Thanks a million again!! I think I am going to go with "Giddy-up Go vom Excelon" for the registered name, and his everyday name shall be "Red." Ironically, the breeder puts different colored collars on each puppy from day one to differentiate between them and the puppy coming to me today was the red collared puppy.
The association for me isn't Ford related to an average person, but I can make it personally Ford related... When I was a little girl, my grandfather always drove a powder blue 1969 Ford F150 truck with a white homemade plywood canopy and LOVED Red Sovine. One of Red Sovine's best hits was the song, "Giddy-Up Go" about a trucker and his truck named "Giddy-Up Go" and we used to listen to that song on 8 track nonetheless while driving in the truck on the way from town. Some of my strongest memories of my grandfather were driving in the truck before seat belt laws, the floor vent and the vent windows, the color of the truck also sticks out in my mind. My grandfather passed on when I was 6 years old so the name holds personal meaning for me!
Anyone else put this much thought into a puppy name? lol
Now I didnt see grocery getter.
Great name you picked. I put more effort into my horses names than into my kids names.
On an animal topic a stray cat here at motel gave birth to three kittens, all orange so they are Cheeto, Cheddar and Cheezit
I'll post a pic soon as I'm able to... This is moving weekend, I leave Vancouver BC to drive to Dartmouth NS on Sunday morning... If all goes as planned I will be on the road at 3am.
