Thanks Steve, definitely NOT a trip down the block... lol.. especially with a 7 year old boy and a 9 year old boy who are both intent on fighting bad enough to make me want to pull every hair on my head out one by one... lol....
i have done road trips with my four girls and as a single mom often pondered duct tape and st josephs valium for children. My advice put the boys in the kennel and put the dog up front. (j/k)
LMAO that is exactly what I was considering..... I figure with a blanket and a small pillow, with the crates strapped down to the bed of the truck up next to the cab and the canopy on, they should be fine and realistically a helluva lot safer should anything happen.... lol.. too bad the law doesn't agree eh? Gravol works wonders too cause we wouldn't want the boys to get carsick........
The association for me isn't Ford related to an average person, but I can make it personally Ford related... When I was a little girl, my grandfather always drove a powder blue 1969 Ford F150 truck with a white homemade plywood canopy and LOVED Red Sovine. One of Red Sovine's best hits was the song, "Giddy-Up Go" about a trucker and his truck named "Giddy-Up Go" and we used to listen to that song on 8 track nonetheless while driving in the truck on the way from town.
Great name and a nice sentiment too. I love that old song too. Giddy-Up-Go Daddy! You'll have a beautiful story to share with others.

Well yeah, you'll be living with it for many years, so you want to make the right choice. You did!
OMG I AM INSANE for driving across the country with two kids!!!!!!!!! All I gotta say is GOD BLESS GRAVOL!!! lol... The dogs are amazingly good travelers, but the kids... omg... never attempt this without a second adult for two reasons: someone other than kids to talk to and someone to act as a referee when the kids are fighting like bucks in rutting season and you're trying to drive!!!
On a good note, I've been getting an average gas mileage of 16.5mpg from Vancouver to Sault Ste. Marie, ON... my worst was 14mpg going through the Canadian Rockies and best so far was 18.6mpg across the prairies.
iPod at just about MAX volume on the stereo!!! lol only crappy stock speakers but give me time and I'll have a decent amp and sub complete with new speakers in the cab... all wired in by me
It seems I have picked the one spot where the local teens hang out after dark to smoke pot and play loud music... wonderfreakinfull!! Good thing I'm traveling with a 97lb protection trained German shepherd!!
Heres the solution to making the little kids stop fighting.Every time they start you go and "beat the dog" They will feel so bad for the dog (much more than you) they will behave. They cant explain their sides to the dog you know.
