Cummins Fuel Pump Adjustment?
I know wmiller knows but maybe yall can help to. My friend has a 2nd gen 2500 Cummins. He said hes gettin guages and gonna turn his pump all the way up. My ques is how much can he turn it up without hurtin the truck. I hope yall can help. Usually I dont venture into Dodge grounds but I cant stand by and watch a friend ruin his truck. Any help is appreciated

cant turn up a second gen up the same way. The are p-pumped and you have to either change the fuel plate or take it all the way out. I've heard guys running with out but yuo have to be real carefule

well then maybe its a third. idk its mackies truck. ive been seein him at bobs and he was talkin to me bout it. he said hes turnin up the fuel pump on it. i just dont want to see him blow it up

94-98 12V's have the P7100 pump that uses fuel plates.
98.5-2002 24V's have VP44 injection pumps and they need to be chipped for more fuel.

i think 98' switched to 24 valve than 03 they changed fuel system again and new body if memory serves right

also the vp pumped trucks have similar injector issues that we have... they dont flow enough fuel..... but a set of crazy injectors for a 24v is only like 5-600 bucks....
