ummm depending on how long they have been out of the car they might not work...bill (ND) made a post about it somewhere.....
If any port where a hose attached, or where two parts come together: dryer tank attached to condenser for example, is left open to the elements for a short length of time, the system is ruined.
Once air gets inside (especially if moist), it is imperative the system is evacuated ASAP.
Otherwise, you can kiss your condenser, compressor, expansion valve and dryer tank good bye.
Example: Peeps go to a wrecking yard searching for a compressor, find one, remove the hoses from the ports, take the compressor home, fail to tape up the ports.
3 weeks later, they install the puppy and wonder why the hell the shaft will no longer turn, or the compressor growls like a enraged bear.
The compressor is HISTORY!
Do not buy any A/C parts if the ports are uncapped, or are not taped over (= as new, this is the way some parts come in packages), or are otherwise left open to the elements.
If you think 400 is expensive for a custom bell to adapt to transmissions that never were intended to be installed then you are in the wrong hobby......
On a lighter note, where would the best place be to look for an A/C? aftermarket is ok, being that this is going to be a restomod truck. Im hellbent on installing it, i know its hard, i know its expensive, but im gonna do it.
