06 Powerstroke check engine light...again
Anybody have problems with their check engine light coming on?
Took it to the dealer a couple weeks ago and they said it needed to be driven at least once a week and to "get on it" and buy some of their high dollar fuel additive. They didnt offer to help pay for the fuel mind you.
I bought the additive and this weekend I drive it over 200 miles pulling a trailer to take some kids duck hunting and on the way home the idiot light comes on again!
This morning I took it to a different garage and voiced my displeasure with the previous diagnosis. Told them they need to figure out whats wrong with it since duck season is here and my horse wont go over 60mph and has absolutely no boost according to the PSI gauge.
Anybody else have problems? EGR valve...bad turbo??????

Not sure what code they pulled...the first mechanic said it was a code that indicated "low boost".
Like I didnt already know that.
Truck has 19k miles and been in service for 25 months. Get run hard during hunting season and spring/summer fishing.

Welp...the wrench turner called late this afternoon to tell me they were strapping on a new turbo and I could pick it up tomorrow.
I will ask them what trouble code they got from the puter and let ya all know.
