Cruising down the highway at 65, all of a sudden it cuts out for a fraction of a second. Did this 4 or 5 times over 2 hours. Check engine light came on and stayed on. After the game (go ducks), light was off and never had another problem. I had fueled up that morning. No other warning lights came on. Fuel filter was changed about 10k ago. Any ideas? Thanks.

Get yourself a CMP sensor ASAP. It sure sounds like it's failing.
My 95 had the exact same symptoms. Called my son (a Ford certified diesel tech) who made the long distance diagnosis of the CMP. Changed it out myself -- problem solved. A couple of weeks later while visiting son at work he put the computer on it and it showed an intermittent CMP code.
