Fixed oil leak finally

A few weeks back I asked if anyone had problems aoil leak from the oil filter,on my o1 F350's v10.Got some great help and suggestions. Well today I finally got a chance to fix it. After a number of times pulling the filiter off and inspecting the sealing surface I ordered a new oil cooler. What had happend is just outside the filter o-ring or gasket it was pitting. As I tightend up the filter it had cracked after the oil change. When you took the filter off it took the pressure off the pitted area. When you tightend up the filter it would open the crack. The tighter you went the more it leaked. Replacing the cooler wasn't hard but a little messy. All is well and thank you everyone

I guess anything is bound to fail but I am astonished that the cooling adapter cracked like that. At least you found it.
