Hello, I have recently picked up a 77 f-100 two wheel drive flareside with a 302 and c4. The problem is I have to set the idle way high (1200-1500 rpm) with the transmission in park in order to get it to idle in drive. Any suggestions as to what is happening. Any chance it could be something simple like the vacuum modulator or is it something internal. Thanks, Al.
Well, I changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and it helped some. I'll try rebuilding the carb and check for vacuum leaks and see if that helps. Thanks for your help
