idle setting ?
what is the idle setting for an 88 f150 w/ 302 efi, c-6. on my 70 1/2 falcon i have it at 1000 in park and 850 in drive(idle). timed the motor to 10' btc and try to bump up the idle, when i get it to 1000, it wants to surge up and down, and when i put it in drive the idle drops way down then jumps up to about 800, set it back to where i had it and it runs perfect. old settings are at 900 rpms in drive and 650 - 700 rpms in drive. now i adjusted the tps to read 0.9v on the old idle settings, would i have to reset the tps settings if i adjust the idle? have not got a c.e.l for the tps, just 02 and egr but im going carb in a month anyway, just want to get my idle right. thanks in advance for any response.
