Hey I have a 2000 Excursion with a 7.3 I have it lifted with 38"s and need to change out the factory gears. Any suggestions on what ratio to go with. I do daily drive the truck. Also does anyone know what rears the truck has in it. I cant find a tag on them.
Thanks ya I'm torn between the 456's and the 488's I would love the extra power, but I do a lot of highway driving. Do you know what type of rears are in the truck. I heard it could be a dana front and a splicer rear, but I'm not sure.
Should share the same axle as the SD truck, and the rear is a Sterling 10.5. The front will also share a siilar axle as the SD truck for that year, and this will be a Dana 50.
All 4x4 Ex's have Dana 50 front axles.
Thanks for the info and advice. I think I'm gonna go with the 456's. By the way that was deffinately a pretty funny comment. "I dont know whats in your rear" LOL.
