Nothin' real spectacular with my interior... I put some blue LEDs under the dash and a CB with a big exterior speaker, also have a dash plaque from my first carshow.
Nothing extraordinary, just in pretty good condition. I bought it this way, but will be making some changes....
I am going to try to keep the radio that is in there but upgrade all the speakers. I will probably go with a newer bench seat from a newer model truck. I want to put a molded rubber carpet on the floor instead of the carpet that is in there. Will post updates later as they come.
i have some great plans for the interior of this truck....but that will be a ways off from now... need to do lots of body work and paint ,,,,pluss some mechanical things to get it goin
I'm sure the regulars are tired of seeing mine, but here's some pics for the newbies on the site. 2003 Lariat leather seats, full power with integrated seat belts. Home made leather headliner with lighted overhead console.
i was thinking of simalar seats out of a mid 90 XLT with cloth though ,,,,i know everyone wants leather ,,,but to be honest i think leather looks awsome ,,,but i really like the feel of a nice cloth bucket myself for long driveing and i do alot of driveing ....i think between my 3 trucks this past year i put 60,000 on the 04 about 12,000 on the 94 and probobly anouth 4,000 on the bike lol
flcracker9 Thank you for the idea on the head liner. What did you use as a backer?
It's actually a piece of wood paneling from Home Depot (the type of paneling you put on a interior wall). I used the original backing as a template to cut the new backing, and once I cut it to shape, I sprayed it with my garden hose to get it good and wet, and propped it up against the roof with 2X4s (forcing it into place so it would follow the contour of the roof), and left it there for a day or so. When I removed the 2X4s, the backing kept it's shape. I tried 3M spray glue to hold the leather to the backing, but it kept separating. I finally tried outdoor carpet glue, and it worked great. For the console section, I added some batting from the local fabric shop to make the raised portion where the console attaches to the headliner.
