Nothing Special here.

I wish SOMEONE reproduced the door panels with the chrome strips on the ribs at the base.

You can get the ones that have the chrome at the base from Dennis Carpenter, but only in the basic colors. You'd have to paint them. I'd call them up and see if they have some of their "off color" panels that are cheaper and you'd need to paint anyway.

Taping over the chrome doesn't work out in my past experience.. the tape rips the chrome material right off the plastic.

Instead of tape try vasoline. Get the oil on there and after you spray it will wipe off nicely.

That looks real nice... you should see mine. Where could I find a cluster so nice? Is yours refurbished? Did you do it on your own?

Iowa, I just redid it myself. I found a really nice cluster face on ebay. I didn't care what the gauges looked like, just the bezel. Made sure they worked, applied the white faces, painted *my* speedometer, and reassembled. OH. I have small aluminum ebay bezels surrounding each gauge as well. Prolly around $100 for everything.

Remove speedo, remove needle, remove odo. Paint with flat white spray paint.. Use a black paint pen over the #s (they are raised) to get them back to black.
