i was thinking of simalar seats out of a mid 90 XLT with cloth though ,,,,i know everyone wants leather ,,,but to be honest i think leather looks awsome ,,,but i really like the feel of a nice cloth bucket myself for long driveing and i do alot of driveing ....i think between my 3 trucks this past year i put 60,000 on the 04 about 12,000 on the 94 and probobly anouth 4,000 on the bike lol
My truck is a weekend cruiser, and doesn't see any off road duty any more (I beat the crap out of it in the mud for years), plus I really wanted the integrated shoulder belts, so that's why I went with later model seats (and boy are they comfortable!). I also wanted something different (I have still yet to see another dentside with this type of seat in it?). The early to mid 90s seats you desire are almost a bolt in for our dentsides. The seats I used required some creative modifications to fit.
yea my 94 had a full bench in it when i got it ,,,,that was the first thing to go ,,,,to be honest bench seats are the only thing i dont like about trucks in general....i lucked out 2 days after i got the truck though i was at the local muffler shop and the guy had the same truck but with the 3 seater buckets with the fold down consoal,,,,i couldnt beleve he took $100 bucks for it ....not a burn or rip in it ,,,,,,i want the same type seats for the 78 i think
It's actually a piece of wood paneling from Home Depot (the type of paneling you put on a interior wall). I used the original backing as a template to cut the new backing, and once I cut it to shape, I sprayed it with my garden hose to get it good and wet, and propped it up against the roof with 2X4s (forcing it into place so it would follow the contour of the roof), and left it there for a day or so. When I removed the 2X4s, the backing kept it's shape. I tried 3M spray glue to hold the leather to the backing, but it kept separating. I finally tried outdoor carpet glue, and it worked great. For the console section, I added some batting from the local fabric shop to make the raised portion where the console attaches to the headliner.
Thanks for all the info man. Leather is a bit much for me, Farm truck and all. But I got some ideas on what I might use.
I would love to have some seats like flcracker9, but black leather in my truck. Like some from a Harley edition or something. Those seats look awesome, I never get tired of seeing them.

Thanks. I looked around for a while, and finally found these on ebay. Cost me $545 delivered to the house (if I remember correctly?). It sounds like a lot of money, but when I priced a good pair of aftermarket buckets and added an aftermarket console, I was over $500 anyway, plus I would have had to screw around with installing seat belts to fit the buckets. I'm very happy the way it turned out. Unfortunately, it's been off the road for 10 months. I went to repair a couple of rust bubbles, which turned into an all out restoration of the body and paint.
here's mine. Will be starting full blown frame off resto in a month or so. If ANY ONE has a crack free JADE green dash pad, I'll pay shipping to ND please!
thanks!
sorry they so big......lazy don't wanna down size them!
sadly, NO cruise! steering wheel out of different truck. Dad bought it in 1980 and i been driving it since 93. I have seen full cruise setups on ebay b4 complete with harness etc pulled from trucks. Am hoping to find an oem complete cruise setup someday and put ee' in!
Originaly an all red truck w red interior. A lil vinal dye fixed that. Threw all the red mouse **** and chit carpet in the garbage. All the chrome was faded off the instrument bezels. So i painted it w a silver and artist brush. The gauges are Cobalt(oil, water, volts) A Cobra 29 CB. And all the metal painted 05 GM blue
