Unbelivable.......I have been involved in another accident. For those of you following my saga, thats right, a third time in two months!
1st- I hit a tire and wheel doing 65 MPH after it came off the dump truck in front of me.
2nd-While my truck is being repaired, my rental gets hit by a fallen tree during Hurricane Ike.
3rd- a 19 year old girl swurves to avoid a car that was entering her lane of traffic...

My first reaction was very different. I was thinking he needs to buy a lottery ticket because of his incredible luck!
1. That tire could have easily come through the windshield and ended your life, or caused major, permanent debilitating injuries or coma.
2. Instead of a rental, it could have been your rig, possibly totaling it if the tree were big enough. Or maybe you or a family member could have been in the truck, getting seriously hurt.
3. Those girls may have died in the roll-over. Could that have played on your mental and emotional state for the rest of your life? What if they hit your front tire, causing you to lose control completely, totaling your rig or causing you permanent injury?
Buy a lottery ticket bro, before your good luck ebbs!
Dang you guys!! Everytime I thought of something to say, one of you said it already!! Even the armored truck pic -- I was going to go with an MRAP, but that's about the same thing....
Glad everyone's okay, and yeah, you need a big cow-catcher up there!!!
(and like Chris said, NO you can't borrow my truck!!)
how do people get on the road with such new vehicles w/o insurance??
I was wondering about the same thing. Here in MO, you have to show proof of current insurance at the DMV before you can get new plates or even renew your current plates. It's flat out illegal here to not have insurance. It going to work out ok for you in this case with her dad paying for the bumper, but what if it had been a lot worse?

That is the case for Texas, also. It looks, by the front end, to be an older model Escape. He will probably just replace it.
sorry on your accident glad everyone is ok, truck can be repaired, but lives cannot be brought back, i would let you take my truck, but they are both broke down. lol
