There really is no hope for me and the OT thread. I just don't spend that much time online. That old corvette looks nice. It might snow or rain here tonight, i hope. Just got tags for the truck, $288 dollars later. The tags don't even have gold on them, why $288?

Man, your age is just jumping out all over the place. Not that being young is a bad thing, in a way I suppose. I am not sure how bad things may get here. That is a 55 or 56 T-Bird, I can tell the difference if I am a little closer, but from that distance I would say it's a 56.

Expensive vehicle. They assume you have bucks. Price tag will be a lot less for renewals but they really should tell you to bring the vaseline when you go in for new plates...

Definitely not a 57 Travis. The 57 had the flared out fins. I know there is a huge classic car show every year at Lowe Speedway and I am seeing enough nice stuff around town right now to suspect it may be this weekend. I went a few years ago. They have an auction too, and I saw a 68 Corvette identical right down to the color and engine of the one I bought brand new in March of 1968 go for 70k. I only paid 6200 for mine and they gave me 3300 for the 65 I traded in. I remember my payments were $122.00 per month, for 3 years.

well now that I look that car is exactly like my friends Dad's car. Black 56, completely original, kept under a cover in a heated garage ever since I was in grade school (I'm 36 now) I have no idea what it would be worth now. I think it only has like 6,000 miles on it.

Ya, i was expecting 100, maybe 150, but when the lady said 288.64 I said "can you repeat that one more time" Also, the first license plates that they get me were 666-ZDE, ya got different ones.
