The original poster's idea of putting the spare into rotation is correct. It's lot more work, but you may as well use that beautiful new tire hanging back there. You also only have to jack up one corner at a time. Of course, those wise guys with 'rims' and different tires won't be able to do that, and may not be able to use the spare at all if they significantly changed the tire diameter.
ok, so is it cool to jack up the pumpkin or will it bust like after halloween?
How about 2 jack stands holding up the front wheels, and then jack up the back in the centre of the trailer hitch area?
Any thoughts on this idea? I rotated mine yesterday and used the spare. Just had to change 5 times to get it back under the truck. I'm just really curious how it could be done with all 4 wheels off the ground at once.
If you have directional tires you cannot rotate them any other way than from the front to back keeping them on the same side.
Yes I know that and if you opened the link I posted it talks about rotating directional tires too. But since no F-150 comes standard with directional tires, I didn't mention it my post.
