Call me crazy, but I recall previous truck redesigns, the last year in the run seeming to get blown out from the dealers.
Now Ive been waiting and watching, but Im not seeing what I feel like I remember seeing in the past, with the stripped down models and the big discounts.
Im not looking for anything wild; a RCSB/V8/4x4, but autotrader.com, newspaper ads, just dont seem to carry what I thought they would. Is it just me, or is there something going on out there?
Ford cut production way back so dealers don't have a huge inventory they're trying to sell. Also, with gas prices moderating I'm sure they're starting to see some movement on the lots so there is no need for huge incentives.
True on both counts. I think Ford is satisfied with sitting inventory, which is why they have decided to roll out the 09s. They are still by no means comfortable about the whole situation, but you will not see the same firesale as in years past (or at least to the extent of).
