Probably a newbe question but WTH. Got new vent window rubber from LMC today and seeing as how the weather is up to it's normal self here in the great NW I can't get into my project today. The rubber seems kind of thin is it supposed to cover the inside & outside of the door. Also are there screws or clips that hold it in. There was nothing with the kit just rubbers with holes not punched all the way through. I guess i probably have too much time to think out all the problems i think i'm going to have. Just got done doing the same thing on a 71 VW and it was a nightmare. Any little things to look out for would be a great help. Thanks
RCC
some of lmc or alot of it is what you pay for. been there and can say spend a little extra and buy oem if possible or use dennis carpenter. you will save money just in time when you have something that works the first time. sacramento vintage ford is another good place to buy from.
i havnt tried them so i cant say for sure, someone that has used them or has heard of someone using them will chime in. good rule of thumb is to stick with site sponsor but not always the case. take a look a dennis carpenter, they will even show you how to install them in there cataloge that you can download from there site. im getting ready to the same thing soon.
Hi...rsd...you live in my hometown which I frequent often as dear ole dad is there...drop me an email and I will be more then happy to give ya any help or advise or whatnot...I also have bunches of parts too if you are in the need...

Thanks Bill,
Is there anything you don't know? I think i figured out most of my problem. The door i got was completely stripped down all internals were out some missing. I didn't realize there was a chanel that the vent window rubber fit into which is in the old door still. Now that it's not dumping down rain i see that. Also the pics in the DC catalog helped though they do leave quite a bit out in their story. I'll see if this works for now if not i'll be in touch.

Unless someone already bought these, they are still available.
I just bought the ones Burch Ford in La Habra had. Had to drive a total of 8 miles RT to get them.
If I told you what I paid, you wouldn't believe me. Let's just say less than 45 bucks for all three including tax.
When do we get to see some pics of your truck Bill.
You won't. I do not post pics of my collection on the internet.
Peeps IMO who do, take the risks of losing their collection because they make mistakes by taking pics of vehicles with license plate numbers plainly visible.
Many take pics of their vehicles at their residence with house numbers and street signs visible in the background.
Thieves troll the internet looking for things to steal, and I have to assume that many peeps have never heard of Google Earth.
It doesn't take too long in today's internet world to get the name/address from a license number.
Sorry, I don't mean to be abrupt, but that's the way I feel about it.
I also agree with jowilker (that's amazing in itself!) that one truck looks basically like another, so who really cares what they all look like?
