Small engines can be squeezed at WOT, but gig engines that can buzz high rpm under heavy loads can over rev very easilly.
You will notice even drag racers spray right away, and not just at WOT.
Often times WOT is a little too late.
Unless you have a small engine that sees WOT a majority of the time, this type of activation will not work, plus, on a multi stage system, there would have to be several places in the rpm range that would require some sauce. Too high in the rpm range could damage the engine.
Small engines may bog, and hit WOT only to have a big nitrous hit, and could really kill drivetrain components.
