'86 D-44 stub shafts trashed?
I pulled the spindles off and out fell lots of BB-sized fragments of what used to be spindle needle bearings. The stub shaft races look exactly like the journal surface of a crankshaft with a spun bearing. The races survive the "fingernail micrometer" test just fine, but will they eat the new needle bearings and new hubs? I know new stub axles will eat me a new one!
